Science Fiction
1. Work with someone near you to discuss and record the ideas you already have about what Sci-Fi is. Work on the left column of the T-chart.
2. Share your answers with the class, and listen to the ideas of others.
3. Watch the video, and pause or repeat parts as needed to help you with filling in the second column of the T-chart. Click HERE to watch the video.
4. Go to Mrs. Young's handout folder, and access the "Definition of Science Fiction" document. After opening it, save it to your desktop (File ->Save As "Sci-Fi (your name)" and save to Desktop. Then, using the highlighter tool in Word, first read the article, and then highlight the points you think are most important when understanding Science Fiction. Save the document again.
5. Add to your T-chart (use the back of the paper if necessary) what you think are the most important points, based on what you highlighted.
6. Share aloud what you believe to be the most important points - those you have highlighted and recorded on your chart.
7. If you have time, watch the Prezi presentation HERE by arrowing through the slides. Add anything new to your chart.
8. Be ready to turn in your T-chart at the end of class.
